Totem Mound Park

  This small City of Beloit park harbors two well-preserved mounds - a turtle and what looks like an oval. Located near the shore of
Turtle Creek, these mounds are in very good shape, undisturbed and un-mowed, with mowing done outside their perimeter. The
only problem I noticed were couple of old trees growing on the body of the turtle effigy. It's said there are few more mounds outside
of this park's boundaries within the Turtle Creek floodplain, but I couldn't find any. You can read more about these mounds at:
