Myrick Park Mounds

Two mounds - a conical and a turtle - out of group of 4 are preserved in LaCrosse's Myrick Park. According to some sources, original
group used to have 5 mounds, but the 5th one was about 250 feet to the west and it's not clear if it belonged to the same group.
At any rate, only two mounds survived to this day.

Apart from the fact that the effigy was damaged decades ago during the road construction in the park, the mounds are in decent
shape, surrounded by a decorative fence and marked by an early 20th century and modern plaques.
