High Cliff State Park Mounds
(High Cliff Group)
National Register of Historic Places

Originally consisting of 27 mounds, today this group has 1 linear, 2 conical, 2 buffalos and 4 panthers (water spirits). The mounds are
in decent shape, most covered with fine grasses, small forbs and some moss, although I'm concerned about lack of vegetation on
parts of some of the mounds and their vulnerability to a damage from elements. Some also had tree saplings taking a root on them.
Neat description tablets are scattered around the trail, providing general and site-specific background information.

The detailed archaeological map of the park also mentions linear mound near marina and several conical ones near park office.
I didn't manage to locate them and check their condition.
